Eux, ils nous auront tout fait. Mais quand on dit tout, c’est vraiment tout. Après des débuts de très bonne facture, Jonathan Donahue et Sean « Grasshopper » décrochèrent l’enfer (et la timbale commerciale en lot de consolation) avec le très noir Deserter’s Songs.

Mercury Rev
Responsables du diamant noir des années 90 avec la publication de l’insurpassable Deserter’s Songs en 1998, les Mercury Rev sont comme pour ainsi dire partis complétement en cacahuète. Après All Is Dream en 2001, Jonathan Donahue et son collègue Grasshopper ont publié le très catastrophique The Secret Migration.
