« PHD montre comment certaines entreprises de l’industrie musicale peuvent être immorales, tout en étant si importantes qu’il est impossible d’y échapper » explique la batteuse Erin Cook. « Au début du groupe, un professionnel de l’industrie avec qui nous travaillions nous a dit que notre succès était entièrement dû à eux, et non au travail acharné et aux efforts que nous fournissions tous les six. Il est juste de dire que nous avons trouvé cela tellement exaspérant que nous avons dû écrire une chanson à ce sujet. »
