I Don't Belong est le nouvel extrait qui ouvre A Hero's Death le deuxième album de Fontaines D.C. attendu le 31 juillet 2020.

Peur d’être récupéré Grian Chatten ? Fontaines D.C. sombre en mer d’Irlande avec un titre bilieux et roboratif à la Joy Division. C’est le bassiste du groupe, Connor Deegan III qui a tourné ces images ascétiques du côté de Skerries. Le tout n’est pas d’une franche gaieté surtout avec un disque intitulé A Hero’s Death.

Fontaines D.C., nous boirons de ton eau. Pendant que d’autres mettent des plombes pour sortir un disque, voilà que déboule le quatrième album des irlandais depuis Dogrel en 2019. Romance est produit par James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Gorillaz) et sort le 23 août chez XL Recordings.

Aussi utile qu’un masque porté sous le nez, le nouveau disque des Dublinois n’est pas la réussite tant attendue. Ni une grande déception. Pire : il ne se passe strictement rien quand on écoute A Hero’s Death qui porte au final bien son nom.
