Pour fêter les 20 ans de Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, quatre versions sortiront le 16 septembre dont une édition Super Deluxe 11 vinyles + 1 CD et une édition 8 CD. Celles-ci comprendront 82 titres inédits (!!). Il y a aura aussi des démos, des brouillons et des instrumentaux, retraçant la réalisation de l’album, un concert de 2002, Live at The Pageant, une performance radiophonique et une interview de septembre 2001. Le coffret comprend également un nouveau livre contenant une interview de Jeff Tweedy, Glenn Kotche et Jim O’Rourke, une étude approfondie de Bob Mehr et des photos inédites du groupe réalisant l’album dans leur studio de Chicago. Cette édition pléthorique n’est pas suprennante quand on connait les conditions rocambolesques de l’enregistrement et de la parution de ce disque mythique relatées dans le documentaire I Am Trying to Break Your Heart de Sam Jones. How can I convince you, it’s me I don’t like confesse Jeff Tweedy sur le premier vers de Reservations, sans doute l’une des plus belles chansons d’amour ou de désamour et qui clôt magistralement Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Nous on est convainvus, on aime toujours !
